Summary
The basic fact is that Bilbo doesn’t look as old as he should. Easy to forget when surrounded by those who live into their 300s during times of peace. But Gandalf has reminded them all, curse him.
Because Thorin might survive the Battle of Five Armies, and Bilbo might stay in Erebor. But eventually the ring must be dealt with. Much as Thorin doesn't want it to be.Bookmarked by quiltdiva

Summary
“You want to know what it’s like to be helpless…to be one of us.”
When a near-death experience brings Superman’s desire for Batman out into the open, a dark and surreal relationship grows between the two heroes. However, when Clark’s obsession with Batman’s identity collides with Bruce’s trust issues, their games come to a bitter end. Months later, Clark is distracted from his heartbreak by the assignment of a lifetime—an interview with billionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne. Unaware of their shared past—or secret identities—Clark and Bruce's mutual attraction grows into a fledgling relationship. Faced with the potential for something real, they both must decide if they can still live double lives—or if the cost of secrecy will be too high to pay.

Summary
Bruce is pushing forty. In no particular order, he has to show for it: pain in every joint; a collection of kids, two of whom aren't speaking to him at any given point; grey in his hair and more in his beard; an inch of lost height; and a love for his best friend, who doesn't return his feelings.
When Clark is wrenched from the earth, Bruce's life flips upside down. Bruce will stop at nothing to find him.

Summary
Batman had expected a multitude of problems to arise from the presence of Superman.
But he never expected this particular problem - namely, the problem that the Kryptonian's supermodel looks combined with boy scout manner is an irresistible combination. And said Kryptonian can hear the stoic Bat's heartbeat go crazy whenever he is around.
Bruce is horny, Clark has self esteem issues, and Alfred is so done with his employer/son.

It is, of course, Dick who calls it first.
“You don’t like him because he makes you feel helpless"
The dislike doesn't persist - much to Bruce's own irritation. But the other issue...it does. Superman - Kal El - Clark - will always make Bruce feel helpless.

Summary
It requires every ounce of will he can bring to bear to force himself to meet Clark's eyes. Clark looks shocked; the expression is undiluted by anger or dismay, though perhaps he simply hasn't had time to grasp what just happened. His eyes are wide, round, impossibly blue. Color is rising into his cheeks. His mouth is half-open, slack, with the slightest damp shine where—
"That was," Bruce makes himself say, and then stops. Christ, what word can he use? What adjective is there that acknowledges his trespass fully? "Inappropriate." Inadequate, but it's the best he can do, and Clark needs to hear something, needs to know Bruce recognizes his own mistake for what it is. "I apologize. I—"

Summary
The containment unit strikes him across the temple, the side of the face, his cheek. He hears a crackle, a rush of white noise, dead air; the earpiece, caught at just the wrong angle. As for the container—this time, it breaks. And something, some strange pale dust, bursts free in a cloud.
The drug, he has time to think. It must be the drug, the first shipment. He came here to find it, secure it, refusing to waste the entirety of the fourteen hours he'd had left before the White Portuguese was due to arrive. But he can admit, if only to himself, that this wasn't exactly the plan.

Steve didn't like Tony Stark.
Stark probably didn't like Steve, either. They'd gotten off on the wrong foot, and that was putting it mildly.
And having to pretend to be a civilian Stark was dating, as cover for trying to save Stark's life while Iron Man was busy with a SHIELD mission, obviously wasn't going to help.

Summary
The words on his skin were his everything. After everything he'd seen, done and been through, they were a reminder that Bruce Wayne still existed. That somewhere there was a person who would love him despite the coldness in his chest and the scars that roped their way across his skin. A reminder that he wasn't alone - that he wasn't destined to live forever in the shadows, silent and isolated. That somewhere out there was the other half of his soul.
He just wasn't expecting the other half of his soul to be an alien.

Summary
Bruce’s mornings are usually spent in bed, trying to ignore the pain in his hips and his knees as he finally gets up and answers Alfred’s insistent calls to breakfast. He expects to find Alfred waiting patiently in the kitchen, arms crossed and ready to tie Bruce to a chair if he needs to.
Instead, there’s Clark Kent, eating his toast and drinking his orange juice and decidedly not dead.
Alfred could’ve warned him.

Summary
Thirty years ago, the war between Earth and Vulcan ended with a shaky armistice. Now, Earth's monarchs hope their volatile neighbors might formalize peace and ally with them against a growing Klingon threat. But Vulcans are fiercely independent, and are currently fighting their own war against a rebel insurgence. An alliance remains unlikely.
In spite of this, the two planets' sons, Prince James Kirk of Earth and Dorli Kahr-lan Spock of Vulcan, find themselves passionately drawn toward each other the moment they meet, and their own private alliance could change everything.
