Kuni recoils. That… stings worse than the Musou no Hitotachi.
Then, the Tengu says, "Raiden Shogun!"
Wait, Shogun? Kuni whips back to stare at the image of his mother, reassessing her, and oh… It's easy to tell she's just like him now that he knows what he's looking for. Scaramouche was not lying about them being identical. How mortifying to have called your sister your mother.
Kuni winces. "Sorry."

With very few leads from the clues of his identity or past steps, how is she going to be able to solve this mystery? Following minuscule breadcrumbs is difficult when the person you're assisting with it, has no clue where he's been. Or who in fact he is.

It was a standard mission. A freaky lab they had to break into, collect some documents, and get out of there without a scratch. He had Artem wait for him to unlock a bathroom window so that he could get in (no one would recognize Luke, but everyone would recognize senior attorney Artem Wing) and walk toward the basement of the place. Simple, right?
Luke just didn’t expect to be shot with an experimental ray two seconds before grabbing a very interesting-looking vial.
or alternatively: Luke is split apart into 4 versions of himself. How does the NXX Team react?

Are you the protector who will keep me safe? Are you really the best one they’ve got? “You don’t strike me as one.”
Luke is taken aback. “What do you mean?”
“Means I see you more as a puppy, actually,” Marius smirks.
“I assure you—” Luke eye twitches. “—that I can protect you much better than that.”

Venti scrambles to find the nearest reflective object. He finds one on a giant metal-like wagon painted bright red, the glass dark but clear enough to see his reflection. With the rough texture of concrete under his feet, he realizes he doesn't even have shoes on. What greets him as his reflection throws that realization at the bottom of his priorities.
He is a child.
"Fuck," Venti breathes, voice high in disbelief.
