If he was having some kind of life shattering existential crisis, his mouth would be downturned, lopsided towards the left, like his jaw’s being tugged by an invisible string. And his eyes would not be fluttering and drooping, they’d be wide open, unsettlingly so.
“Is it the fucking curry,” He deadpans, “I asked you ten million times if it was too spicy for you and you said no, so if you’re gonna be a little bitch and whine about it then why don’t you just own up to the fact that you have the spice tolerance of a mediaeval english peasant?”
“The curry’s fine,” Shouto replies, “Heavenly. You make being on fire quite enjoyable, one of your many culinary talents.”

Dabi isn't. He's clinically traumatized and probably bipolar, but Hawks doubts he’s actually psychotic, so he continues, “You actually remind me a concerning amount of some of the Hero students I know now.”
It’s not some, it’s one, but given his parentage and the Villain’s animosity, being vague is the best course of action.
Dabi laughs like Hawks is joking, and the Hero wishes he was. “Maybe you’re the one that’s clinically insane.”

“It’s not safe up on the rooftops. Go home.” Eraserhead says. He worries, every time. Shouto has learnt to sit down before he gets there, so that he doesn’t look like he’s about to jump. But a kid sitting alone on a rooftop still isn’t normal. Not that Shouto ever was.

Shouto makes a deal with the devil, to escape from the future his father had mapped out for him. It doesn’t take long for him to realise that being forgotten by everyone is not a blessing, but a curse.

“You cut your hair.”
“Oh,” Todoroki looks surprised at that and raises a hand to tug at the fringe that lies above his eyes. “Yes, I did. Does it look oka–”
“Yes.” Katsuki answers before Shouto can even finish asking his ridiculous question. Does it look okay? As if Katsuki hadn’t tripped over his own two feet after seeing Todoroki. Because he’s seen Todoroki, hell, half the time he can’t even pull his eyes away from him.

The man gestured toward the stage. “Who I saw up there wasn’t just a drummer. That was a musician. One of the best I’ve seen in years.”
Katsuki narrowed his eyes. “You some kind of expert or something?”
The man chuckled, clearly pleased by the question. “I am, actually.” He reached into his jacket and pulled out a sleek business card, pressing it into Katsuki’s hand. “Takahashi Hibiki. A&R Representative for Harmonic Heights Records.”
This is a sequel to All We Found and won’t make sense without reading that first.

Rules shook his head, his hand… chopping… vigorously in the air and his voice booming “Now now, he may just not be good with names!”
She crossed her arms, one of her cheeks filled with air. He sat there silently, not knowing what to say.
She let out a breath of air. “My name is Ochaco Uraraka.”
He stared back, trying his best to commit to memory.
There was a silence again, where Todoroki was not sure why they did not move on before the other three at the table sighed simultaneously.
How strange.
Where Todoroki's home life is a little worse than canon.

And so his acceptance to Yuuei Conservatory of Music isn't anything impressive. As a matter of fact, it would be more impressive if he had managed to fail. So he's ready for his days there to be as tedious as always; but then he meets Bakugou Katsuki.
(Somewhere in between, he reconnects with a long-lost brother, visits a mother, talks to his siblings, makes friends, and learns to hate Todoroki Enji less.)

“There’s a Song that plays,” Half-and-Half interjects. Katsuki’s head snaps to him, but he’s staring intently at Deku as he speaks. “Most people don’t even realize it. It’s loudest at night, but if you listen carefully, you can hear it during the day, too. It just gets quieter. It’s the Song that brainwashes them.”
“Who’s them?” Katsuki asks, even though he already knows.
Half-and-Half finally levels his gaze at him. “Everyone. Every adult in Redacre is under the effects of the Song, and they don’t even know it."
Katsuki jolts awake and finds himself standing on the old train tracks just outside of town. Above him, the starry sky is endless and silent and missing something very important—the moon.
It’s on this night that he realizes something is very wrong in Redacre.
