Less than a Galactic Year after Tommy escapes from his poachers, he goes to travel back to Earth. He takes a detour on the way and somehow ends up on the SBI, a ship filled with two other alien kids, a ‘body guard’ Piglin, a medic Phantom, and a considerably old Elytrian for a captain. Somehow he gets adopted.
(It’s fine, humans pack-bond with anything. Even the weirdest, possibly criminal, possibly innocent, aliens.)

Whispers are spreading through the realm. Overnight, a fog had risen around the Cod Empire. It might have been considered natural if not for the fact that it was too dense. Nothing can be seen through it, no matter how close a person goes. It is thick and dark, sending shivers down the spines of any who neared.
It has become a swamp, but as though it were exaggerated; one that can swallow anything it touches, that is enshrouded in fog and seems to reach for those who enter. It feels as though it is rejecting the adventurer- no, the intruder. For those who enter know they are not welcome.

Summary
An AU in which Tommy is banned from the Dream SMP and has to take refuge in another server. (Its basically just hermit!Tommy with extra steps and more world building. If you've seen the Tumblr posts this isn't a spoiler.)
I'm not tagging Hermitcraft because that tag is already over run with unrelated fics and I don't want to add to the pile. I'm also keeping character tags limited to characters with more than two chapters of plot relevance for that same reason.
I started writing this back in December, and here I am now, six months later, finally posting this here.
Edit: I added the Hermitcraft tag anyway.
