Crowley settled himself down on the bench, finally able to catch a glimpse of Aziraphale’s face. The sight made Crowley’s heart fall; he was flushed and blotchy, and - despite his best efforts to wipe away the evidence - his cheeks were very damp.
“Angel, what’s wrong?” he asked, gently laying a hand on top of a plush thigh.
Aziraphale smiled half-heartedly in response. “It’s- it’s nothing really.”

Crowley and Aziraphale get together with their fellow Armageddon averters for a Christmas party in Tadfield. The season opens up some old wounds for Aziraphale, but Crowley happens to know a thing or two about being disowned by family.

He’d told himself it was just anxiety, because Ray’s been planning this trip to Florida for weeks now, ever since Reggie told him he’s never been to an amusement park and, even though Anaheim’s less than an hour away, Julie insisted that Disney World— the one in Orlando— was the place to go. And Alex, purely just because of his nature, has been helping Ray with the planning, doing research and reading park maps and making itineraries and packing lists and to-do lists upon to-do lists, and yeah, it’s been stressful, and yeah, Ray’s told him he can just sit back and enjoy the vacation like the rest of the kids, but it actually makes Alex more anxious not to be in control of things, so he insisted on doing a bunch of the prep work anyway, even if it left him sick to his stomach with nerves the night before their trip.
He’s not so sure it’s nerves anymore, after he threw up twice, spent the better part of an hour dry-heaving, and then tossed and turned the rest of the night alternating between hot flashes and cold spells.

Summary
Dream is not coping well post-imprisonment, after he has finally set things to order otherwise following the Vortex. There are unexciting times with migraines, dissociation, and panic attacks galore. Also copious references to sand and glass. Almost like a leitmotif / metaphor, even.
Title from "The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel. (Opinion hours: 1964 acoustic version on Wednesday Morning, 3 AM album is the best version. You cannot change my mind.)
The head pains, the sparkling lights, the nausea - they come back. Again. And again. He gets better at hiding the signs, cursing whatever has caused this. He gets better at pretending he's not constantly behind a barrier of glass, that he's free, that he's fine. Dream is constantly behind glass. Stained glass, bloody glass, rounded glass, broken glass, all muffling the world around him, filling his head with cotton. Sometimes he wonders if it was easier being in the glass cage. At least then he didn't have to pretend.

Summary
Another flash of lightning spills past the curtains, and his lights flicker into oblivion, his tv shuts itself off and his entire living room goes pitch-black. Hob sits straighter, looking around his darkened surroundings in stilted confusion when suddenly everything flares back to life again. His TV remains shut off, but his lights blink back on like they were never out at all.
And between pitch-black and bright lights and the roar of thunder and the deafening stillness between it all – Dream materializes out of the shadows.
The man sits on his sofa, suddenly, unbidden, unannounced, and uninvited.
“Hello, Hob,” he says softly.
Hob does what any other person would’ve done when an anthropomorphic personification materializes on your couch; he screams and chucks his glass of whiskey at his face.

But he wasn’t in the Dreaming here. He was pinned to the incremental march of seconds upon seconds upon seconds that made up minutes and days and years. He was stranded in a form severed from the Dreaming. Like soil run through a sieve, the damned circle had held back the greater part of himself. He ached for it, for a form where he could simply choose not to feel the cold sinking into his bones, or the swimming haziness of air used up, or the hunger sweetly gnawing on the core of him.

When Robb is awoken by Theon's screaming, he crawls back down to the floor.
“He's going to find me,” Theon cries into Robb's arm. “And he'll ask me my name, and if I get it wrong, he'll take even more fingers. Maybe even my hands, or something else.”
It occurs to Robb that he hasn't told Theon of Ramsay's execution. “He's dead,” Robb tsays. “The day I took back Winterfell, he was executed on the spot. His head is on a spike next to his fathers. We can go and see it in the morning.”

“Don’t,” Hob interrupts, far stronger than he meant to, and Death looks surprised for as long as it takes him to get out, “Don’t, please. I-I want to hear it from him.”
Sympathy colors Death’s gaze even as Hob feels his face burn. Six hundred years, Hob thinks—he’ll be damned if he finds out his Stranger’s name from anyone but the odd man himself.

Even if he has to bribe, lie and steal, use every trick in the book he's learned in the past 600 years, he will find him.After over a century, Dream has almost given up on the hope of ever escaping his prison when help finally shows up in the form of someone least expected, compelling him to re-evaluate the nature of his interest in an old acquaintance.
