“–ommy, Tommy!” Wilbur’s voice cut through the rune’s talk startling Tommy. Wilbur eyed him, concern etched on his face, “you good?”
“Yea, yea just...fine,” Tommy cleared his throat before looking back at the runes, “we got a downer of a rune cast though, Wilbur.”
Wilbur sighed and released Tommy’s shoulder before reaching for the Halgalaz rune, “I know. I wasn’t expecting anything so serious.” He studied the ominous rune, “makes me a bit nervous, to be honest. What’s the last one again?”
Tommy looked down catching sight of the remaining rune. His throat tightened and he muttered, “Raido.”

Tommy's a street performer, a story teller; nothing really special about him. Except for the magic that hums just below his skin and his cryptic friends that never seem to stick around. But Tommy was happy in his village if a bit lonely during the winter months when Wilbur mysteriously disappeared. He never knew how soon it could all vanish like smoke from a fire. He never knew how important it would be to know of the trees and their names. For none are greater than oak and ash and thorn. -

Update: i didn't want to tag harry potter stuff but also i didn't want to take this down cuz i do like my writing
You all are familiar with the Hogwarts Mystery app I'm sure. But did you want perhaps a bit....more? Maybe the MC didn't seem as disturbed by the family situation as you thought they might be? Maybe Rowan seemed just a bit too friendly too fast? Maybe there's more to the story than the game lets on?
Julian Saville is not sure what to expect for his sure to be choatic messy years at Hogwarts. He knows he's going to get some stares and a few rude whispers but he never expected to get an arch nemesis, a friend who can see right through all the lies he tells, or a continuously bruised forehead. Julian wanted to be a wizard though and if this is what it takes to find out just what the heck his brother was doing at Hogwarts two years ago then Julian will do whatever it takes. He just hopes he doesn't get expelled doing it. That would put quite a damper on things.

Peter freezes for a second, eyes flicking to focus on Steve for one still moment. Then, his gaze drags sideways to Tony, and his eyes clear of confusion.
"Dad!" he breathes.
The room goes silent.

Tony Stark doesn't like to think of himself as any kind of father figure. In fact, after Peter Parker died in his arms on Titan, he's been distancing himself from the kid.
That all changes, though, after an encounter with a rogue sorcerer that leaves Peter unconscious and unaware. When he wakes up, he gets the date and the year wrong - oh, and he calls Tony Dad. Soon, it becomes clear that something is seriously wrong with the kid. He's talking about people who don't exist, events that haven't happened, and using information he shouldn't know.
Tony is far from ready to deal with any of it.

Summary
Once upon a time, Tim Drake was Robin.
And he was 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥.
But he wasn't chosen.
And that's fine, okay? It was a delicate situation, he understood that then and he understands it now. He doesn't hold it against Bruce, or Dick, or anyone after him who benefited from the Batman that he fixed. It's just, he hadn't realized how many things he lost out on while fixing Batman.
The ice cream just seems to be the final straw.
