The world blurred before Yuji's eyes. His sixth sense buzzed through his whole body, unable to differentiate between a real threat and the terror of having his hopes crushed.
He bit his lip, forcing it down. Wiping his tingling palms on his jeans, Yuji waited until he was sure the boy would see him, and then threw one hand in the air. He gathered his last scrap of courage, chewed it like bubblegum, and with a final prayer, burst the bubble.
"Fushiguro!" Yuji flashed him a crooked smile, hoping he wouldn't notice the bead of sweat sliding down his temple.
Fushiguro paused, lifting his head to meet Yuji's gaze through a pair of horn-rimmed glasses. "Itadori?"
The boy from Yuji's most pathetic dreams: Fushiguro Megumi.
Or, Yuji is a high school student by day, a part-time superhero at night, and a fully employed fool. Thankfully, Megumi had always liked that side of him.
