If he ever did decode Oskar, the physical fact of him and the thoughts behind the cut of his words, he'd want to keep the findings for himself. To bury them in a box only he had the key to, so he alone could return again and again to excavate and autopsy. But as an archeologist, he couldn't very well do that, could he? He knew what happened to things once they were unearthed.
He'd content himself with guesses. He'd rather have the undecipherable version of Oskar, kept whole and unknown, than to share him—or not have him at all.

Summary
"These are Lomedy’s favorite kind of days.
The kind where nothing urgent or life-threatening happens, leaving him free to take care of his farmwork in peace. The kind where sunshine warms the earth without scorching it, falling across fields and skin alike as it paints everything in a soft golden glow. The kind with a light breeze that rustles through the grass and causes it to brush against his legs when he walks.
Tall grass sways gently around him now as he sits. He likes this spot, in the shade of an oak tree on a small hill overlooking the farm. It gives him a lovely view of his fields and animals while still being out of the way enough to feel separate.
From here he can see sprawling wheat fields, cows grazing peacefully in the sun, and the cluster of buildings at the edge of it all. Bittersweet in its loveliness, hard-won and not a life he takes for granted.
Right here, right now, he doesn’t think there’s anything in the entire server that could possibly ruin this moment.
'Ashen? Here, boy!'
Ugh. Nevermind."

Silas stepped off from the stool he was sitting on, patting his clothes smooth. When no answer came from Oskar, he immediately realized, "Ah, right. You don't smoke anymore?"
"Not exactly." He pursed his lips before continuing, "it's more that I am trying to keep it minimal."
His companion made a small 'o' with his mouth, nodding in understanding. He paused for a few seconds as Oskar felt his stare while he drank the last sips of his drink. The whiskey felt somewhat warmer on his tongue and even hotter down his throat. He stared back at Silas, who let out a quick cough.
"Keep me company, then?"

Lomedy is literally shaking, eyes wide and lips quivering as he stares up at Flame pleadingly. “No, bro! Go fight your own battles. It’s literally your turn to clean the barn. You go do it! It’s just a few spiders.” Flame ignores the fact that he would’ve been just as terrified if he saw those eight legged creatures. Lomedy was not going to make him take care of that spiderweb at all.
“I’ll give you headpats, bro!”

or, Forgiveness to Flame looks a whole lot like living on a farm with Lomedy. Changing isn't a simple thing, but when you're not alone, it's sure as hell easier.
