Marc Marquez may be the most hexed rider of all time.
That's what Vale thinks, anyway. It was him who was all but coated in the little pieces of magic, harmless as those ones may have been, in the early parts of his career. It was him who was hit by that vicious one in 2020, the one that led to the current regulations and protections in place.
So when Luca tells Vale that Marc has been hexed once more, he really isn't too worried. Even when he hears how bad this one is, leagues worse than the one from 2020. He has no intention of going near Marc anyway, and he doesn't even tolerate the man, so really he doesn't care. It has nothing to do with him.

Summary
Marc becomes aware of his soulmate bond in early 2018. He knows who the other end belongs to before he even traces the red string. On the 8th of April 2018, he first notices the red strings are starting to fray, rejection in its primary stages. The string finally snaps in 2025, the colour leaching out. He knows what it means; his soulmate has officially rejected him, whether they know it or not. Marc is given a year and a half to live; he accepts that fate for it is.

However, of all the colorful characters who walked through the automatic doors, there was one who was in a league of his own. A regular customer who had become the bane—and, secretly, the most entertaining headache—of his closing shifts.
He first showed up three weeks ago, just as Marc was already holding the mop to clean the floor. The sound wasn’t that of just any car, but the deep, clear, and arrogant roar of a high-displacement engine that came to a stop right in front of the store’s large window.
Marc looked up from the wet floor and saw him get off the motorcycle. The guy wasn’t exactly a young whippersnapper, but he moved with a confidence that really threw off the vibe. He took off his helmet with practiced nonchalance, shaking out some unruly curls where a few gray hairs were already peeking through, and fixed his bright blue, mischievous eyes directly on Marc’s through the glass.

Marc nodded slowly, looking expectantly at Rossi, his whole body tense as he wasn’t sure what exactly Vale could pull off now. “Okay..? I, uh… I forgive you,” he said, hoping it’d be enough for Vale to leave.
Vale smiled and suddenly pushed inside the room, locking the door behind himself. “No, no, no, piccolo,” he said as he watched Marc stumble into the room. “I don’t think it’d be enough of me just to say ‘I’m sorry’ and leave. Not after all the things I did.”
Or, Rossi found an interesting way to apologise for the crash in the Malaysian GP 2015.
