Confusion was coloring Hua Cheng’s handsome face, and Xie Lian quickly clarified. "San Lang said he will not joke about it again. Ask me now.”
Hua Cheng’s single eye became wide. There was a moment of silence. Followed by a low chuckle. Then, Hua Cheng posed the question Xie Lian wanted to hear. "Gege, want to get married?"
Hualian reunite and rebuild Huangji Temple together, where they get married and eventually spend their wedding night—and the beginning of their eternal life—together.

After bumping into one another by chance, Hua Cheng’s lingering youthful crush on Xie Lian is obvious. Though thunderstruck by Hua Cheng’s lack of subtlety, Xie Lian goes with the flow.
A stormy night spent together is the catalyst for their lightning connection.

This story is not believable; rather, it is a fantasy, a delusional piece of fiction where the main character becomes immediately enamored with the love interest. Somehow, the intensity of their feelings is mutual, and the two fall into bed as quickly as they fall in love.

Reki hears his professor talk in the front of the classroom, but doesn’t pay him much attention and keeps writing down notes on the funny cartoon he drew of Shadow, until he hears a voice with a weird accent that he doesn’t recognize.
He bolts his head up and he’s met with a boy standing in front of the board, where the kanji reads Langa Hasegawa. Reki guesses he’s not from Japan since he doesn’t seem to speak the language very well, and his eyes also look kind of weird. He looks like he’s definitely out of place.
“I came here from Canada,” is basically everything the professor is able to get out of him in his presentation.
The boy ends up taking the seat beside Reki’s. Maybe I’ll make a new friend, he thinks.

With a small sigh, the ghost took a strand between his fingers and played with it, rolling its ends over the red threaded finger. The white band that kept a portion of Xie Lian’s hair tied in the back was brought forward by the delicate movements and it too got entangled in the other’s hand. As Hua Cheng saw the white band snaking through his fingers his eye creased with longing.
