Summary
A 14.13 Lebanon rewrite. When Dean uses a wish-granting pearl to try and kill the archangel Michael before he can escape the cage in Dean's head, they instead wind up with a newly-resurrected John Winchester.
It's been more than a decade since John died, and a lot has changed: Mary is alive, Sam and Dean have what passes for a proper home in the Men of Letters Bunker, and they're living with angels. John doesn't know angels are real, he doesn't know about the fragile new relationship between Dean and Castiel, and most of all, he doesn't know that Dean said yes to Michael, or that Dean's plan to defeat Michael would send him to a fate worse than death.
Now Dean must contend with both his father asking questions he can't answer, and his loved ones learning about the darker truths of his childhood, all while constantly battling the archangel trapped inside him. But Dean coming to terms with his history may be the difference between this being the beginning of a journey—or the end.

Listen. Listen. I know we all have feelings about Reylo and abuse and yadda yadda yadda but this series convinced me to interact with the Star Wars universe and to respond to it with something other than mild disdain. I have literally only seen two Star Wars movies and they were both made in the last five years. I can not overstate how little I go here. And guess what, this series convinced me that even though the movies still hold a -100000 interest for me, the EU is probably something I'm all about. It is hard to change my mind things especially things for which my dislike is mostly irrational.
Also, I am all about that Rey life and will take anything that focuses on her.

I am possibly the only girl who growing up in the Age of Harry Potter pretty much fucking hated Hermione Granger. I don't like that she was never critiqued on her awful attitude towards other girls, I don't like that the author used her as a measuring stick for righteousness and I don't like the imperialism of her intended politics. Knowing this I went into this fic entirely on the strength of someones rec and having nothing to do labour day afternoon and you know what? I'm pretty glad I did. If there's a Hermione Granger I'd actually be friends with, it's this one.
