If there was one thing Stiles could say about his experience with the Nogitsune, he'd say it was educational. Every single moment with the Dark Fox was a learning experience, even the past with Kira's mom.
He learned that being silent and observant yields more answers than if he were to demand them. He learned that trust is easy to lose, even when he's proven time and again that he'd give his life for those he cares about. He's learned that bonds, whether it's with friends or family, are fickle and fragile. There will always be something that breaks it, no matter how much he tries to hold it together. He's learned many things but it'd take too long to list.
But the first and most difficult thing he learned was to let go and move on. His friends are unreliable at his time of need? Let them go. Nothing's changed. His dad is barely home? Let him go. It's not the first time. Everyone avoids him when he tries to communicate? Okay, then make it easier for them and leave.
So that what he does, he packs his things, writes a note for his dad and leaves.

Shouta's gaze moved to his hand, where a tiny, chubbier one wrapped around his index finger.
He looked at the kid whose eyes are puffy, red, and shiny like he's been crying and giant green irises stared at Shouta’s hand with a level of focus that only a child can have. He turned his gaze to the mother intending to get her attention but the notion died as he scanned the woman, distracted with a not-so-good looking phone call if the worried frown pinching her face and her fingers wringing in the front of her cardigan is any indication.
He sighed and let the kid play with his fingers, cooperating by turning his hand over when it was gently tugged, and watched the toddler count the lines on his palm in tiny murmurs and intense concentration, poking each one as he went, tired little sniffles every few seconds filling the silence. Looks like Shouta isn’t the only one who had a shitty day.

Aizawa Shouta, a new prohero, planned on getting some sleep on the train after a long exhausting day, like he always does, before heading back to the police station, but his plans get left at the train stop when a young mother and her toddler board his train.

During times like this, a particular memory always crosses his mind. When Izuku was younger, and Kacchan still came over to play. They would run in circles around his room, chasing each other with various hero figures. Izuku was clumsy and useless, so of course he would trip nearly every time. But when he did, Kacchan would kneel down to a pathetic, wailing Izuku. He would run his soft hands over wherever Izuku said it hurt and place a cool, hero bandaid on it. (The kind his mother could never afford.)
Then, despite Kacchan’s cool demeanor, he would press his soft lips to it and ‘kiss it better.’
