Keith had gone with the Marmora to provide relief to those affected by the war, Pidge was working to improve earth's tech and defense systems. Even hunk had been helping bring the universe together through his cooking. Everything changes when he gets a call about Keith’s return to earth.

It had been about a year and 6 months since Dream had killed Tommy since Tommy dared go near the prison. He wasn’t afraid, not anymore, he just knew what could happen if he went back in there, he did only have one canon life left after all.
The nightmares still happened occasionally, images of fists and dark obsidian filling his vision as he screamed for Sam, begged for Sam. But it was okay, he was okay. Even if he would wake up screaming and clutching at his chest, feeling the phantom fists beating down on him, even if each time he caught sight of the atrocious building he got the overwhelming urge to run as fast and far as possible, putting worlds of the distance between him and that damned prison.
