He stopped in front of her, looming over her body, close. So close that she felt his hot breath on the top of her head. Slowly, she looked up from the shirt on his chest and into his eyes. They were hooded, and darker than she remembered.
“Whatever I want?” His voice was hushed and deep, and she felt it in her bones.
“Yes,” she whispered, and did her best to still the fear and sick thrill of anticipation that had sparked inside her.
“Alright, Granger,” he said with a smirk, and then spoke in a low voice. “You’ve got yourself a deal.”
She had no idea what she had just agreed to.

The light was enough to illuminate the narrow corridor somewhat while still being low enough to remind Hermione of all the times she had crept through Hogwarts with the boys. Those were the good times. What secret would she uncover around the corner?

The night magic the Dark Lord had created was incredibly scary, but remarkable at the same time. Somehow, he had managed to warp spacetime in the darkness, to create pockets in the shadows, only accessible while the sun was down. However, space was not the only thing he had forced his will onto with this new strand of magic, but also matter - magical beings - creating them from seemingly nothing. Those monsters were unlike anything they had ever seen before. Their bloodlust seemed boundless in the way they drenched the land they guarded with blood, dyeing the soil red.
Like most of the abandoned Death Eater operation bases, a creature of the night protected the premises. A ferocious beast, which didn’t hesitate to tear wizards to shreds. Curses were useless against it, simply bouncing off its skin. Protective spells could only hold it at bay for so long. The creature was the perfect killer. The restriction to the grounds it protected was the sole reason any witch or wizard had escaped with their lives.

If they were at the same place, at the same time, and drinks were involved, then they’d spend the night together showing each other either how mean or how very nice they could be to one another. Tonight would be their twenty fifth time they tumbled together in bed, or it should have been, if Blaise fucking Zabini hadn’t stolen her away. But Draco’ll be damned if that’d stop him from having his taste of Granger.
(I recommend listening to Medicine by Harry Styles, I mean in general, but also because the lyrics and the way he sings influenced the writing. xx)

The first thing she notices is not the cut of his robes, or the way he has his hair styled, cropped close on the sides but long on the top. It’s not his expensive dragon leather shoes that shine nearly iridescent in the light, or the sharp caress of his grey eyes as they flit over her face with the speed and reflexes of a seasoned Seeker.
It's the ink that peeks out above the crisp collar of his shirt. It’s a flash of blue against his pale skin, the only drop of color on his body.
That she can see.
It takes Hermione several minutes to focus well enough to drag her eyes away, lest she get caught with her jaw on the sticky floor of the pub they’re both standing in. Something tells her there's more color hidden behind the flat black of his suit and robes. There has to be, considering the intricate design that creeps up his neck like tendrils of blue smoke.
