Summary
After faking his death on Svartalfheim, Loki finds himself back on Midgard, this time as a cat. Bucky, meanwhile, is living in Avengers Tower trying to make a recovery after his liberation from HYDRA. When he picks up a black cat in an alley, he has no reason to suspect that it's really an Asgardian sorcerer in disguise. Loki has no reason to trust the Avengers. And yet, both of them quickly become indispensable to the other.

Summary
Loki was cursing every choice he made that lead him to his current predicament. If only he had controlled his anger. If only he had grabbed Thor's hand. If only Thanos hadn't found him. If only Odin had believed him instead of throwing him into a dark cell.
Rain was pounding down on the large world around him. The buildings and even the people looking like giants compared to the tiny cat huddled in a corner.
It was a good disguise. Not even Asgard's watcher could find him like this. Heimdall would have lost track of Loki the moment he shifted. It was one of his favourite tricks. A quick shift, and the Prince was gone.
However, there were a few problems with his current situation. First of all, although aiming for a small town in the middle of nowhere, Loki's injured state had thrown him off and sent him to New York.

Loki finds himself taken in as Tony Stark's new pet. Stuck in cat form until his magic returns, Loki decides to use this time to spy on his mortal enemy.

“When—on the Bifrost,” Loki runs a hand down his face. Thor is closest, and he thinks he can see it shaking. “In 2011, before I came to Midgard—no. No. I’m doing this all wrong.” His movements are jerky and his hand fidgets with his palm, the hem of his shirt, a coil of hair. He glances up at the ceiling for help, and takes another very horrible gasp of air.
“Let me…” Loki moves back to the couch, and yanks a Starkpad from one of the cushions, one he had borrowed from Tony that morning. He swallows, typing on it and swiping across the screen.
Loki looks up, glancing at the crowd, and makes a gesture on the screen of the Starkpad. A large holographic diorama of a very familiar-looking cube floats into the center of the room.
“The Tesseract,” Loki declares to no one’s surprise. What does make Thor react is how he immediately adds: “Also known as the Space Stone.”
Thor is starting to see where this is going. He doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like it at all.OR:
