Ena Shinonome leaned her elbow against the bus window, other arm lying limply on her lap. The smooth blue public transport seats had two chairs per row, but the brunette teenager was presently unaccompanied by anything other than her thoughts. The people on the bus's words only amplified the dull headache she already had, so she tried to tune them out.
Too bad she couldn't do that to herself.
Even with the pale lilac sweater she wore, the winter chill had seeped into the vehicle. Not that Ena minded -- it brought a welcomed distraction, picking at the sweater's threads. A welcomed distraction from what had brought her here in the first place.It wasn't even that big of a deal. So Ena's dad saw her drawings. So she explained that she'd entered an art contest with it. So he said she'd never be a real artist because she didn't have the talent. So they started arguing and yelling. Well, what about it? Wasn't like he was lying. She'd known, all the time.

Cold.
That was how Rui Kamishiro felt at that moment, sitting on the junior high school rooftop, clutching his knees to his chest.
Of course, he felt a lot of things at that moment. But if you'd asked him right then and there, he would've simply grinned and said "Cold." And really, who wouldn't be? Crimson and peach streaked the skies as the sun began its inevitable descent, and the teenager had forgotten to bring a jacket.
Or maybe he never planned to in the first place. Rui found himself thinking a lot like that these days; doubting opinions of himself, doubting memories, doubting if he was really 'him.'

Why was he here?
Stupid question, of course. For the same reason they were.
Those were the thoughts coursing through their mind, still wearing the red vest and brown plaid leggings from their day at school.
