To comfort himself, he’d taken a picture of a nearby chunky black puddle and captioned it “Batman supplications. Such a cool find. excited to Eat, haven’t had Dinner yet. I’m so hungry”. A day after that, he’d overheard Batman’s gruff voice warning Robin about a potential new mutant. He’d cautioned him against getting too close to any black liquids he found nearby, even if they fit into the environment (like a fast food restaurant or the Gotham Harbor).

In a world obsessed with killing and dying, Seiko is mostly concerned with chasing off her boredom. The Academy wasn’t exactly intellectually stimulating, but dying in the second shinobi war sounded like a long walk off a short pier. Everyone is always so stressed about avoiding attention, or min-maxing skills in situations like this.
Seiko is of the opinion that those people need to chill the hell out. Maybe play a little shogi. Death comes for them all anyways. Better to enjoy this all while it lasts.

When he inevitably moves back to Japan, into a new neighborhood, and a new school, he struggles to find the one thing that makes his heart burst with joy. So, when a new opportunity arises, he has to do what he does best.
He plays his heart out.

I love how Hinata is still Himself, but you can see the effects his different upbringing gave him. His faults and strengths are similar to those in canon, and the author does a good job of writing them to fit this Hinata. Love this so much.

Kon frowned. “What do you mean?”
Tim gave another shrug. “I mean, I’m only here ‘cause my dad can’t make it and he asked me to make an appearance for him.” He leaned across the table toward Kon, curious. “So what about you? I know most of the reporters that like to frequent these events, and I’ve never seen you around here before.”
“Aw, well,” Kon reached up to scratch at his cheek, trying to figure out the best way to word Superman is away on a space mission and is worried about his wife's tendency to get into astonishing amounts of trouble when left to her own devices, especially in Gotham, and also is probably, like, trying to do some kinda bonding thing? So he let me borrow his “disguise”, his literal name, and his job so I could tag along with her. “I’m filling in for my older brother?”

When yet another Gotham gala goes horribly wrong, it's left up to Kon and his new civilian friend Tim Drake to solve a murder, clear a name, and catch a culprit before it's too late.
(All without giving away their secret identities, of course.)
It's a good thing the infamous Detective Tim Drake and his faithful partner, Kon Watson, are on the case.
