Summary
At the Hotel Victoria, the rooms are well-appointed, the chambermaid service is quick and discreet, and the restaurant has two Michelin stars.
But there's something strange going on within its walls, and Matt and Elektra may find themselves facing more than they bargained for. To truly put matters to rest, they're going to need allies - but first, they're going to have to survive the night.
[now complete]
"Matthew." Elektra fills the world - every silent space in this strange building, and every cold space in his heart. "What do you know about ghosts?"

Summary
It's just before Christmas, and Foggy's family has a sick vigilante as a houseguest - and maybe an assassin on their hands, too.
Feverish Matt is one of the five most difficult Matts to deal with, in Foggy’s not inconsiderable experience. “Recently returned from the dead but still dead inside Matt” vies with “actively bleeding out Matt” for the top spot, but feverish Matt consistently ranks high on the list.

Before Elektra proposes to Matthew, she pays a few other people a visit.
There's really no hurry. This moment is precious; she wants to capture it, crystalline, and keep it ever after. This is Matthew before she asks the question - before he even suspects a question is coming.

Summary
The border crossing was a breeze. Elektra spoke French to the customs official, letting a tear come to her eye when stating the nature of their visit to Canada - a family funeral, on her side. Matthew handed over the passport she’d arranged for him, with its nice, innocuous travel history, hastily pulled off his sunglasses at the official’s request, and gave a friendly but tired smile when they were sent on their way - fittingly, since it was well after midnight.
Through the darkness, Elektra drove.

Summary
In which Matt and Foggy own a sandwich shop, Karen is a loyal customer, and secret identities abound - and can’t stay hidden forever.
He was right: the light over the sink was flaky, buzzing in and out. But there was a moment when she looked at herself in the mirror, dressed in his clothes, and found herself smiling.
When she came out of the bathroom, there was a smile on Matt's face too. His head lifted, as if he were catching a whiff of something in the air; if she were still being fanciful, Karen would say he was taking in the scent of her all wrapped up in his clothes. If she were being fanciful, she'd say he liked it.

When Elektra pressed the bottle of massage oil into his hands, the first thing Matt said was, “This your way of telling me I move like an old man?”
“No. Like a strong man recuperating.” She ran a hand down his side, fingers warm on his bare skin. “And there's no shame in that.”

Summary
For the prompt: what if Elektra agreed to run with Matt before Midland Circle was destroyed?
Lines ran deep in his face, like the cracks in the earth around them. He pleaded with her - We can still walk out of here - while dust and dirt settled into valleys carved by desperation; worse, settled into years of laugh lines and frown lines, well-remembered and well-loved.
There were some things Elektra was unwilling to risk.
“This way,” she said, turning, and Matthew held her hand as he followed.

Summary
Matt and Elektra, a world away from New York.
The last time he came at Elektra’s bidding was in the cabin of a private plane, somewhere high over the Atlantic. Elektra spoiled him - she anchored him - the weight of her hand and the heat of her mouth something for him to cling to while his roots were ripped out, while his city fell further and further away.

It’s a short clip, but it’s a good one. Karen can see the Devil’s grin, that wide, dangerous thing. She can hear his huffing, grunting breaths, and his animal roar when the offender tries to slip away. She can see that he has no interest in being careful. She can see that he doesn’t want to stop.
Karen sees someone who understands.
Online, everything Matt ever hid from Karen is only click away. After Matt’s confession, she watches videos of Daredevil fighting, and finds his rage and violence turn her on; when he fights an attacker right in front of her, it’s no different.
And Karen’s done with things being hidden away.

Summary
The letter Foggy gets from Matt is typed, with an uphill, printed M a t t beneath the Sincerely at the bottom. Everyone’s kind of jealous that Foggy gets to pen pal with an actual local celebrity and genuine hero, and he ends up folding the letter about fifty times to make it as tiny as absolutely possible before stuffing it way down in his pocket. Because Matt’s not to be gawked at. Because Matt’s his.

Summary
Matt’s lips quirk as he complies, like he’s just humoring Foggy, but the instant Foggy sandwiches one frosty hand between his own toasty ones, a soft little sigh slips out. And Foggy goes to work, letting the heat from his left palm bleed up into Matt’s while using his other hand to give Matt’s fingers the royal treatment, starting with the knuckle of his index finger and making his way down, joint by joint, gently massaging and warming every inch of skin.
[For the prompt: I'd love to see something with Matt having really sensitive hands...and Foggy shamelessly enjoying the fact that he does.
Good ol' fashioned hand porn!]

It won’t be long now - she’s on the stairs. Her feet are light and quick; her heart’s thrumming fast. Elektra’s blood has become part of his lexicon, a new point of reference for words like dazzling. For bright.

Summary
“A costume party?” Matt says, when Foggy broaches the topic over dining hall lunch. His eyebrows arch over his glasses in a way that says doubt, but his lips quirk in a way that says I'm listening.
Sometimes Matt forgets that a facial expression is a sum of many parts, and about all the parts his pretty face contains. Foggy couldn't forget a single one if he tried.

Summary
Been a while since Matt heard a knock at his door; been even longer since he answered one. But Claire’s heartbeat and her breath drew him over, a compass needle to a pole, and the rock-steadiness with which she stood made the rest easy. A choice taken out of his hands.

Summary
It would be easy to blame the beers Matt's already had for his dulled reaction time, but it would also be a lie. The real trouble is the heat in Foggy’s blood; Matt’s basking in it like a housecat before a fire, and it’s wrong, wrong, wrong, to enjoy anything so drenched in anger.
In which Matt gets hit on, Foggy gets protective, and a somewhat pathetic bar fight ensues. The swollen fist Foggy gets out of it doesn't feel great; Matt isn't great with Foggy getting hurt on his behalf.
It helps that they handle it all together.
