His own trickery would bring his downfall, after all it had been him who suggested to name Rhaenyra heir in his stead. And by doing so he prevented his own grandson from inheriting. It was better that way. For everyone, but Otto and his family. And definitely better for Daemon and his bloodline. Rhaenyra would prove easily manipulated, by him at least. It had always been so, ever since she was a babe. And he could always wed her.
It would be the best match for her, and for him. But his brother would not allow it. Not without some subtle conviction. Luckily for him, his brother was easily manipulated.
"Well, he cannot whisper into his ear any longer, now that he is in Oldtown" Daemon smirked.
