“Oh that’s easy!” Leo smirked. “You’re here for-”
He faltered after a few seconds of his mouth hanging open, like he was waiting for Percy to throw a chicken nugget in his mouth. That thought made Percy hungry.

Jason seemed to realize Percy was staring at him, and calmed down considerably, clearing his throat. “Um, anyways. You…you wanna go get coffee or something, before we switch?”
Percy blinked. “Aren’t you trying to go to sleep?”
“Yes, well.” He wrung his hands, looking at Percy. “There’s– I think we both need to do some talking.”
A pause, and Percy raised an eyebrow at the younger, contemplating it for a few seconds.
“Uh– sure. Alright. Let’s do it.”

Summary
The few times Percy and Jason had worked together- summoning the storm at Fort Sumter, helping the Argo II escape the Pillars of Hercules, even filling the nymphaeum- Percy had felt more confident, better able to figure out problems, as if he’d been a Cyclops his whole life and suddenly woke up with two eyes.

"Why not?" he agreed. "But Ephialtes isn't going to stand there and wait while we kill his brother. Unless-"
"Good wind today," Percy offered. "And there're some water pipes running under the arena."
Jason understood immediately. He laughed, and Percy felt a spark of friendship. This guy thought the same way he did about a lot of things."On three?"
"Why wait?"Greece and Rome don't get along. Lightning and Water don't mix. It's a simple truth, a universal truth.
That was never the case with Percy and Jason, though. They were two sides of the same storm....

Summary
Annabeth's laughing, sweet and loud, as she leans into his shoulder--and Percy thinks everything feels right. He's semi-famous (not that it mattered much to his happiness), and he's archiving sweet precious memories. Just like this. Without thinking, Percy reaches over and grabs the camera off his bedside table while Annabeth's still giggling. She rests her chin on his shoulder as he clicks it on.
He makes sure they're both in view before he says, "Hey," which has Annabeth smirking, and pressing a light kiss to his jaw. Even after two years together, Annabeth still manages to make him blush like she did during their first kiss.
"I think I owe you all an explanation. Besides, me and Wise Girl have some traveling to do, don't we?"
"Yeah," she muses, humoring him, "You know I'd go anywhere with you anyway."
Percy smiles, boyish and wide, and something in his chest flutters like a valley of butterflies. Everything feels good, feels okay. No monsters, no threats. Just him, and the person he loves most in the world.
