Experiencing physical touch through the game had always felt…different from the other sensations that would translate through the VR experience. Gordon vaguely remembers it. Back in Black Mesa, at the very beginning of his “adventure”, he’d played around with the VR, attempting to physically interact with the other npcs and marvelling at the fact that he could indeed faintly feel solid weight against his hands.
Add this to the list of things that freaked him out at first but that he never bothered to investigate. If he really was a scientist, he would be a terrible one.

So when he accidentally signs up for MCC, he thinks there’s no chance of him actually getting accepted.
Except he does. Contemplating not going, Ranboo looks around and realizes that quitting isn’t an option. Not when this month there’s a cash prize that could change his life around.
So even with the disadvantages of having a coping mechanism that mentally makes him a child, Ranboo’s going to try his hardest to win the sixteenth annual Minecraft Championships.

The Coomer clones seemed to freeze too, the hundred or so heads remaining all turning to look in that direction. Tommy looked up too, shaking now from being startled.
It was the Water Room that came from. Oh NO. Tommy’s first thought was that something had fallen off and gotten caught in the propellor, but then he remembered…
…Mr. Freeman was in there. Covered-in-heavy-metal-suit Mr. Freeman.

Gordon commits suicide during the Coomer clone boss battle in Act Three, and now the AI are left to complete a game that no longer has a player.
