Summary
“Hey, Robbie?”
“Hm? Oh, what’s up, Sonar?”
Shit. What is up? The sky?? (He looks up as he walks, just to check.) He hasn’t planned this far. He turns to Malevola for help, but she unfortunately seems just as confused as him.
“Preferably today, Sonar.”
“Fffuck. Um. H-hey Robbie—”
“You said that already—”
“Are you free tonight?”
Or: after Robert fires Coupé over Sonar, the latter invites him out for a drink. It doesn’t take long for the two to catch feelings for each other, and for them to get closer. Over the course of the following months, they find out just how much they have in common, and only fall deeper in love.
But love between a recovering addict and a traumatized, depressed dispatcher isn’t quite a picture-perfect movie, and Robert and Sonar, as well as the entire Z-Team, face trial after trial on their road to redemption. With Invisigal putting lives at risk and Coupé wanting revenge for her annexation, it’s only a matter of time before shit hits the fan — maybe even beyond fixing.

Summary
“So, I have an idea,” Malevola started, strong hands smoothing the fur down Sonar’s neck.
Her ideas could range from ‘let’s grab pizza after work today’ to ‘I’m thinking about visiting hell for the weekend, wanna come with?” but something in her tone betrayed that this one wouldn’t be so innocent.
Sonar let out a pleased breath as she threaded her nails into the fluff on his shoulders and scratched. “Yeah?” He replied. “What is it?”
“A sort of challenge,” Her lips curled into a (pardon the expression) devilish smile. “I think you’ll like it. How about it, babes? You game?”

Sonar often said he was, "Half man, half bat, all freak." It was an open question around the office as to whether or not this was a load of horse shit.

Summary
It felt like everyone was so used to Robert getting egregiously maimed that it was a normal Tuesday for them. And maybe it would feel like that if Sonar wasn't the one to catch him. He keeps thinking of Robert's face, streaked in blood that poured from his nose and from the soot of the explosion. Cheek resting in the fur of his chest while they hit terminal velocity, racing towards a mutual death a half-mile in the clouds.
There was still a lingering current of fear that invaded the peripheral of his awareness anytime Robert was in question. Be it in the break room or watching the man walk home alone, it felt like he had to be somewhere near him. Just in case.
And somehow, Robert doesn't notice.

Summary
Sonar dreams of a life with Robert.
…Okay, he dreams of having sex with him, but those’re kind of the same thing, right?

Mal and the Z-Team (not including Robert, of course) have an idea to help bring his spirits up. The only question is, when you lose your coping mechanisms that you’ve leaned on for who knows how long, what remains in their place?Takes place post Chapter 8 of Dispatch!

Summary
After losing the Astral Pulse and suffering an explosion from an encounter against the Red Ring, Robert finds himself recovering and recruited by the SDN Phoenix Program to be a dispatcher, particularly for a chance at his mech being repaired for him to get back on the battlefield. During his time there, he finds himself in moments with a bat hybrid named Sonar, who always seems to keep him on his toes.
Sonar, a bat hybrid, had joined the SDN Phoenix Program due to his close friend and sponsor in their NA program, Malevola, who signed the two up. Originally, he didn’t care for a change in his behavior. But after having several unintentional encounters with the Z-Team’s newest dispatcher, Robert Robertson III, things began to become flipped upside down for him, for the better, and the worse.
From trivial matters, to lovesickness, and life-and-death situations, Robert’s life becomes heavily intertwined with Sonar’s own, in more ways than the two could imagined.

Summary
“There wouldn’t be any drama if you wanted someone like me.”
As Robert stopped, his heart slammed against his ribcage. “I’m sorry?”
Sonar circled Robert and stopped in front of him. “You heard me, Robby. It’d be a hell of a lot less hassle than dealing with those two. Besides, they looked like they were getting along with each other back there."
Robert swallowed heavily, his attention locked on Sonar’s shoes. “This isn’t a very funny thing to joke about, you know.”
“I never said I was joking.”

Or, 'What to Do When Your Boss Doesn't Suck Nearly as Much as He Could'
With Shroud dead and Robert's contract with the SDN expiring in a few months, there's nothing keeping him working with the Z-Team. And given the nature of some of their prior Dispatchers, Sonar decides that's unacceptable, and takes it upon himself to use his not-inconsiderable charms to convince Robert to stay.
Depending on how you define it, this plan meets with an unanticipated level of success.
