The doorbell rings.
Tommy jolts in his seat, jumpscared. Tubbo and Ranboo look up, obviously taken aback.
See, the thing is, they live out in the heart of the woods. They’re so far away from civilization Tommy doesn’t think he’s seen another sign of human, mortal life in years. When Tommy had first decided he was going to live in this area, that was one of the main factors that he took into account- he’d probably never see another human soul again.
When Ranboo and Tubbo had come, they’d put some more potent magical barriers around, so almost no one could come in- no matter their intentions. Only someone more powerful than both of them combined could get in.
or: tommy isn't sure he trusts these new people, but they're certainly... something

“That I am?” The way they say it, it sounds more like a question. They glance towards the woods bordering Tommy’s house.
“That’s rude, you know. Just dropping- literally- into someone’s home unannounced.” Tommy informs them. It seems like something they should know.
They shift slightly, looking pained. “I can go?” They offer, and no-can-do, they’ve just dropped into Tommy’s house, the least he can do is be a good host.

Tubbo sighs, glancing down at their intertwined hands as Ranboo pulls him towards the imposing figure of a property. It’s where both their soulmarks are (Ranboo had given him an awkward high-five when they’d first met), and their rings sit firmly on both their fingers.
He fiddles with his idly, looking back up at the house. He swears he sees a flash of someone- a kid, wearing what looked to be a red and white gown- before they’re gone. The curtains close on what looks to be on their own and he shudders.
This was… sure going to be something.

He takes a second to brace himself for the conversation he’s about to have. If the fact that Tubbo’s announced this out of nowhere shows anything, it’s that this is going to be a chaotic one.

Ranboo, who'd been squeezing Tommy's hand to hell and back nervously, finally lets up. "Oh!" They say, sounding relieved. "It's, um, when you don't like anyone- like, romantically." He elaborates.
Tommy and Tubbo are both silent for a moment again, but this time for a very different reason- at least, in Tommy's case.
That's- that's a thing?
He can’t comprehend anything for a second, mind reeling.
