“Y’know, I’m not a real Harpy.” Phil said, the smirk in his voice suggested he was well aware of Ranboo’s awakened curiosity.
“Wait- what?” he still couldn't help but exclaim.
“Yup. Didn’t always have the wings. Or the claws.” Phil said, way too casually, as he dipped a few tea bags into the now hot water. Ranboo noted that it was Fundy’s old tea mix all the way back from the L’manburg War before he cast that information aside because what?
“But you’re- so..” Ranboo stammered.
He’d always assumed Phil was a prey bird, the guy just had the vibes, and Ranboo well remembered the old stories of The Angel of Death swooping down from the skies to slay enemies. And even now, earthbound, Phil’s wicked claws and bloodthirst were ones of a predator.
“Yeah! I was a deer hybrid back in the old days.” Phil grinned, there was something a little painful about his smile, but Ranboo was too busy being absolutely floored by the information that Philza M. Craft was a freaking deer hybrid of all things.
“How?” was the only way Ranboo could formulate a question in his current state.

Im sure you’ve heard this story before, so let me sum it up for you…
Ranboo can’t remember his parents and has been in the system almost his whole life. he’s pretty much resorted to aging out, even if he’s only 16 right now. He’s been in his fair share of bad households before, but the one he’s in right now is… less than ideal…
When he gets an emergency transfer to the Minecraft’s he doesn’t think it’ll be any different from his other foster homes. But maybe, he can start to call it home.
(There are hybrids but it’s a modern fic)

Basically, what if all the dmsp members made it into this universe and started a school except for Ranboo, he's a transfer from the end. This fic might drag on a bit if you're into plot, because there is little to no plot in this entire fic. Romance is sprinkled in here along with hurt/comfort (my beloved).
May I add that this whole story was thought up during a group call with some of my friends on a Tuesday night so this is not based on fact AT ALL and the continuity is dismal at best. Also, none of it makes sense and it's not very good but I promise it gets better in terms of writing skill/style. I'd like to add that when this was written/thought up, all of the current controversy surrounding the dsmp was not a thing.

"Phil left in the middle of the night. With not so much as a goodbye to any of his children, he only left a small note to confirm his leave.
'I’m sorry for leaving, but I’m just not cut out to be a dad. I hope you guys understand.' "
After taking care of his kids for 18 years, Phil had finally decided to leave them for a different life, leaving 18 year old Wilbur, 15 year old Techno, and 12 year old Tommy to fend for themselves. Wilbur drops his college plans and starts working his ass off, Techno starts isolating himself because he starts hearing voices, and Tommy, well Tommy is just in the middle of it trying to figure out how the fuck to help out. Enter Tubbo, who's shocking resourcefullness leads him to find a book on how to summon demons. Suddenly, Tommy gets the greatest idea he has ever had in his entire lifetime, "What if I just summon a new dad!" And there starts the wacky tale of how Big Scary Demon Prison Warden Sam, now has to figure out how to be a dad to a barely 18 year old with overworking issues, an angsty teenager with voices in his head, and worst of all, Tommy.
Buckle up Sam!

He doesn't recall where he got the idea to do this from, but all he knows is that he's a genius and superstitious people pay good money.
Ranboo does believe in ghosts. Better yet, they can see them and they can expel them. But there's a certain phoney shaman at his university who's stealing all his clients from his exorcism business, and he's not happy about it because haunted people pay good money.
So what do they do? Figure out whose closet is holding all the skeletons of course.

For not working at the damn place, Wilbur sure gave him a lot of things to do. Was it his fault he was at the tattoo parlor all the time? Absolutely. Was he a customer? Absolutely not. In a few days, the street will flood.
It happened last summer, and the summer before that, and then the summer before that—and the very first time Phil let him go out to play in the street during a storm was eight summers ago when he was nine and Tubbo was ten, the both of them still small enough that Phil sat on the front porch to make sure they weren’t swept away by the gutters.
This summer, Tommy sits on the porch in his nicest, newest red rain slicker, waiting for Tubbo to come running down the street like he always does when it storms on a Saturday. As fiercely as Tommy tells Wilbur that he’s not a child anymore, Tommy can’t deny that he never grew out of the flooded streets he’s known his whole life or the childish excitement that rises with the flooding. Wilbur never brings it up, either, and Tommy knows it’s because he did the same thing when he was Tommy’s age, splashing down the road in knee-high boots while Tommy watched through the window.
It’s just a thing—for Phil, when he was a kid who lived in this house, for Techno, for Wilbur, and finally, for Tommy and Tubbo.
