The hévortish turned to Tubbo and began speaking again. Ranboo caught a gesture that seemed directed at his bedroll for some reason? Tubbo waved a hand dismissively.
What was happening? The beginning of a theory was forming in the back of Ranboo’s mind, and he didn’t like it all that much. He clutched his book nervously and looked back and forth between the two aliens that seemed more and more like they were discussing his fate.
Tubbo noticed his distress and took his hand, smiling warmly. “Élay, Ranboo,” he said, and Ranboo had no idea what that meant, but he didn’t miss the friendly tone. “Élay do.”

His ear fins lowered in disappointment at the empty cave, he wished they would've taken him too but he also understood that he was more of a liability than help with his stupid shredded fin. He was simply too slow to keep up to the others, no use as a hunter or a scout, he couldn't even be a healer since he couldn't remember how to treat which wound.

“Thank the gods I’m not human, then,” Tommy says brightly, and stands. “We can start next week!”
