“They’re a bit like mine,” Purple said quietly, her own wings fluttering. “Yells, we’re matching!”
Yellow could feel heat rushing to her face. She adjusted her glasses, looking away. “Yeah...”
There was a brief pause. Purple allowed the wing to fall from her fingertips, stepping around so she was in front of Yellow, searching her expression. “Do you not like them?” Purple asked.
“I mean, I thought they were cool at first,” Yellow began. “But there’s a slight issue.”
“Oh? What is it?”
“I have no idea how to control them.”OR

King Mango has to go somewhere, so Green ends up with the whole gang (plus Purple) at his place for the afternoon. It's fine. It's normal. It's just his friends hanging out, nothing weird about it.
Then it gets cold, and suddenly Green is the center of a pile of people who all seem very determined to be warm against him. And Green, who has never thought about any of this before, starts noticing some things. Like how Red purrs. Like how Blue's head fits perfectly on his shoulder. Like how Yellow smells faintly of ozone and sugar. Like how Orange's chest is warm and steady behind him. Like how Purple's wings make a perfect blanket.
Green is fine. He is completely fine. He is absolutely, one hundred percent, totally not having a crisis about the fact that he might—possibly—maybe—have five crushes.
He is so done.
