I’m trying so damn hard to pull you out of whatever headspace Dema left you in, but you’ve gotta meet me halfway.” His voice cracked, a mixture of exhaustion and something deeper—something bordering on hopelessness. “I can’t keep fighting for you if you won’t fight for yourself.”
Torch didn’t mean it, Torch didn’t mean to sound so rough, angry and bitter at Clancy, he didn’t mean for any of it to slip out, he didn't mean it like this, but he meant every goddamn word.
