Summary
When Dazai dares to chuckle a breathy laugh at Chuuya's pitiful display, he's met with a harsh slap to his cheek rather than continued stimulation. Leaning back just enough to watch the result of his punishment, Chuuya lets himself moan, craving the way Dazai used to look at him like pain was the greatest blessing he could've bestowed upon him. Now, the only thing behind Dazai's eyes is escape. It's not fair.
Dazai whimpers at the sting, teary and traitorous, feeble and fickle. It's nauseating how he can act like Chuuya's nothing to him. Like everything they've been through—everything they shared—was nothing more than a mistake in his past he's erased along with everything else. If Chuuya's a mistake, he hopes he's a fucking stain. He hopes he's a gaping wound that never fully heals, an ugly scar, a branded stab wound. Chuuya hopes he's the ghost of devotion that haunts Dazai until his final breath, preferably at his own hands.
Dazai's not allowed to forget him. Chuuya won't let him.

Dazai looks nervous, and Chuuya can’t crack why. He definitely looks wrong, though, like he’s about to jump out of his skin.
Which does happen when something makes a particularly loud noise outside. Dazai’s head whips in that direction, his whole body tenses, and he clutches the plushie in his arms like letting it go would mean sudden death.
“You’re scared,” Chuuya realizes. “You’re scared of this, why didn’t you tell me?”

Summary
Chuuya dares not flick on the light, afraid of triggering Dazai in case he's in a jumpy state, instead opting to shuffle closer to the bed. He does it slowly, dragging his feet a little so the man can hear him approaching, even if he doesn't see him. When he's close enough that his toes bump against the edge of the bed, he tentatively reaches out one hand, signalling his anticipated movement, and lowers himself onto the mattress.
Slowly, his eyes adjust to the darkness.
Dazai is sitting in the middle of the bed, legs crossed, back straight, eyes open and staring straight ahead of him. That way lies the door, the same one Chuuya just walked in through, so the gravity manipulator has to accept that his partner is too far out of it to have noticed him enter.
OR
Dazai has a bad depressive/disassociative episode. Chuuya was off on a mission for most of the day, so he only comes back after Dazai has been alone in this state for... Who knows how long.
Just your standard, run-of-the-mill Soukoku Emotional Hurt/Comfort

“Cut the bullshit,” Chuuya replied crossly. “Are you having a stroke? Do you smell toast?”
“What’s with the interrogation?” Dazai huffed, then whined, “Dates are supposed to be fun.”
“For the last time, this isn’t- oh, forget it.” Chuuya leveled Dazai with a narrowed, scrutinizing look. “What’s wrong with you today?”
