Summary

Rob gave a small shrug. “It’s… been a long day.”
That was an understatement. Somehow — why was he even trying to kid himself, he had no doubt that Gumball was the one responsible for this — Mr. Small had discovered the truth behind Rob’s home life.
The teacher had spent the entire day practically hunting him for sport. By the time nightfall had finally set in, his morale had been worn down to dust, alongside his energy. He simply collapsed into an exhausted heap on the street, allowing Mr. Small to essentially kidnap him — he scooped him up in his arms and headed back towards his van.
“Ohhh, yeah, probably! Good cardio day for both of us, though huh?” he laughed once more. “But aren’t you glad you finally realized that I’m just a good Samaritan looking out for the poor, struggling outsiders in society?”
His single eye twitched. “...For my sanity, I’m going to pretend you didn’t just say that.” A deep sigh escaped him as the van came to a complete stop. “Let’s get this over with.”
“Woohoo! I’m digging your enthusiasm, buddy!”

Summary
There was always a low, thumping hum from the darkness. Tinged with gentle static. A natural white noise that sent shivers down her spine and filled her chest with a sort of painful ache, like it was burying deep into her bones and tearing them apart. The static raised in volume, slowly but surely. Shutting her eyes, she watched the shapes and patterns move just behind her eyelids, seemingly matching in tandem with the ever-approaching static.
Then — a sharp whistle of a tea kettle.
“I’LL GET IT,” a glitching voice boomed all around her.

“It’s not just me, Giorno. Don’t forget we planted these together. All of this,” he removed his hand to gesture towards the rest of the garden. “Together!”
“I suppose…” Giorno eventually replied after a beat of silence, accompanied with a light shrug and a lighter laugh.
“Don’t be so modest. You’ve done great. I’m proud of your hard work.” Jonathan finished with a small chuckle. His words earned Giorno’s smile growing slightly, his eyes squinting slightly as he did.
“Thank you, papà—”
Both froze in their place.
- Giorno has been brought into the Joestar household to be raised under Jonathan and Erina, both of whom view him as their son. Though, due to his traumatic childhood, he is wary to view them in the same light. After months of slowly building a familial relationship, Giorno has finally made a step to view Jonathan as his father; only for him to suddenly become terrified afterwards. Now Jonathan has to figure out to reasoning behind Giorno's abrupt panic and help ease some of his son's emotional wounds. -
