When the empty classroom at the school is cleaned out, Kris, Susie, Ralsei and Lancer go on a scavenger hunt across Hometown to locate all the missing objects from the classroom to restore the Dark World. Along the way, they soon discover there are more dark princes just like Ralsei, and that they all originate from secret diary entries that Asriel has hidden around town. But the more they recover, the more they uncover about their own pasts, and dark secrets that Hometown has been keeping from them.
This fancomic was started and finished before chapter two of Deltarune came out. As such, it should currently be considered an alternate universe from Deltarune's canon.

The worst kind of loss though is the acceptance that you are not special. You, like everyone else in this terrible, mortifying love story, are a loser. Nothing more, nothing less.OH MY GODDDDD. Holy SHIT. GOOD LORD. What a fic. I am the biggest fan of this fic I am so sorry. Never before has Kaoru been written so accurately!!! Actually, you write all the characters with such love (“just pick truth,” Haruhi said was so good I could HEAR IT in her voice lol); your Kyoya especially stood out. Everything he said made me go “oh Kyoya would sooooo fuckin say that” lol.
Also the tone!!! The tone is so staggeringly spot on to the original Ouran wacky-poignant balance with an extra dash of bittersweet growing pains and UGHHHH. This tugged at my heartstrings so well, and I absolutely adored it. You’re a beautiful, beautiful writer. This really hit home to some personal love angst I’ve been going through and I felt very seen by it, so thank you so much for writing it.
Gotta say— if you ever have any interest in continuing this story, I am SO CURIOUS if Kaoru’s hopes ever come to pass!!! The ending!!! The fucking ending was so good!!!! Kyoya tying the scarf around his neck UNDID me. But I also love a good ambiguous ending, and how it leaves room for everyone to grow so :) excellent work no matter what you do !!
Truly felt like I was really going insane alongside Kaoru reading this … and I can’t wait to reread this fic a billion times and do it all again lol 🧡”
