Summary
The universe is smaller than it used to be.
Beyond the occasional remark regarding how dark the sky seems, most people don’t seem to notice the change. They go about their lives the same way they always have — breathing and learning and loving and prevailing and dying. To them, it does not matter that a thousand stars have been snuffed out. They have never known a life outside their town, or their planet, their solar system. There is little for them to miss and far less for them to mourn.
For the travelers, however — those who drift aimlessly through time and space with no real place to call home — the change is all-consuming. How quickly one grows tired of the same handful of planets and the same dull millennia played on repeat.
The Doctor feels the loss of the universe profoundly.

Summary
“Doctor?” Yaz asks.
It is more a call over her shoulder than a call to the intruder, but the strange woman straightens with a swift naturalness as if she was responding to her own name. She runs an appraising gaze over Yaz — a flick from head to toe and then back again — before smug contentment tightens the corner of her lips.
“I can be, if you like.” Her voice has an element of cunning to it, as well as an excess of confidence. Not only is she in a place where she’s not meant to be, she is comfortable in it.
Written for Little Black Dress Flash Exchange 2020.

“A fob watch?” the women repeats incredulously. “You think I’m a Time Lord in disguise?”
“You have a TARDIS! What was I supposed to think?”
“You have a companion,” the woman bursts out. “And you’re a time-traveller! What was I supposed to think?”
(or, it's 1903 and Yaz meets a younger version of the Doctor. it's 1903 and Clara meets a future version of the Doctor. both of them are wrong)

“What are we dealing with here?”
She doesn’t mean to rush him, but she’s only now realizing that they should have planned some kind of course of action for confronting this apparition, and it’s making her panicky. She’d spent the entire walk so worried about him that she’d forgotten they were about to confront a monster, and she needs to make up for lost time. Fast.
He blinks, again, and finally tears his eyes away from the woman. “What?”
“What kind of alien is she?” asks Amy, urgently. “What did she do? How many people has she killed? Is she going to sprout a plunger and start saying 'Exterminate'? Wh-”
(or, there's a normal-looking blonde woman in the doctor's room, and amy really has no idea what's going on. but she's going to figure it out.)

“Who are you people?” asks Martha’s husband, moving closer to Martha. “Do I know them?” he says in a stage whisper, smiling and kissing her cheek.
Martha grins, pushing at his chest. “No, you big goof. This is Yaz and Ryan, and Graham,” she says, gesturing at each of them in turn. “This is my husband Mickey, as you probably figured.” Ryan smiles and Yaz waves, subdued. Graham does a small salute with two fingers.
“Nice to meet you all,” says Mickey, lifting the grocery bags awkwardly. “I’d shake your hands, but-”
“Yeah, of course,” says Graham. Martha is smiling still, but it looks strained.
“And of course, Mickey,” she says, trying to look casual and failing utterly, “you already know the Doctor.”
(or, the tardis tricks thirteen into confronting her past and everybody has some chats)

Various one shots of the team’s life post-finale. Mostly Daisy/Sousa focused, but everyone will be making appearances. I’m also going with the writers’ conception of seasons 6 and 7 taking place in a timeline that Strange didn’t see, where the Avengers beat Thanos in Wakanda before the snap- meaning no Blip. I’ll make a few references to the wider universe or bring in a character or two but I promise this won’t get super deep into AU territory or give too many specifics of how things changed, it’s definitely SHIELD-focused.
