Yara’s plan was not to keep Daenerys as a slave or a prisoner of war. She’d prefer to think of herself as her ward, which she had to admit was still kind of weird. But it was still better than her slave.
She could if she could take Daenerys if she wanted. No one would stop her. Daenerys was a beautiful woman, and it was lonely up on the Salt Throne. Theon would be relieved Yara could take out her stress. No one would judge her for taking what they saw as hers.
A fallen warrior. A mad queen. A sad girl. Whatever they saw her as.
Yara shook her head. No. Daenerys had been kind to her. There was no reason to be needlessly cruel.
OrDany doesn't die, instead Drogon brings her to Yara and her allies in the Iron Isles. Yara gets the Salt Throne and hides Dany from the Starks, trying to piece together why Dany went mad.

This is basically one of those The 100 stories where Lexa takes feral Clarke in, but with Yara and Dany.Dany is "mad" but it's not quite as it seems.

Lexa is sure the only thing that heals Clarke's mind and keeps her heart thumping against her ribs is an ill-advised amount of the first and a frustrating amount of the second. But Clarke has never been anything less than ill-advised and frustrating. If anybody will survive a hole in their brain, Lexa is sure it will be Clarke.
