Instead she pretended it didn’t exist. Except for the times when she couldn’t avoid it.
Mich put it down to the grass Yuna had smoked at the Halloween party the following night.
Grass didn’t do this.
Déjà vu wasn’t quite right. She’d had that before. No, this was knowing that what she’d seen was going to happen. In the future. Sera vu, or something like that. Preemptive.

Cliff was only aiming to push the guy off the puck, maybe disrupt his stride long enough to give Rozanov time to catch up, but Hollander wasn’t expecting the hit, and it caught him at an awkward angle, knocking one of his legs out from under him.
Cliff watched as he slid uncontrolled, his momentum carrying him into the boards ahead of them at full speed. His shoulder hit first, but then Cliff heard his helmet hit the boards with a deafening crack.
For a moment, the arena was deathly silent, as though the whole crowd was holding its breath. Cliff dropped to a crouch above Hollander’s body, still splayed out on the ice. There was blood streaming out of his nose. He wasn’t moving.

He drives to the airport with an unshakeable urge to pull over and turn around. He smokes four cigarettes in a row before he boards the plane, then chews an entire pack of gum on the flight to try and cover the worst of the smell.
He exits the airport half-hoping that Shane has chickened out of the whole thing. Then he spots him, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel in the most boring suburban dad car Ilya has ever had the misfortune of laying his eyes on, and he’s so happy to see him that his legs feel unsteady beneath his weight.

“Seseong’s going to find a new guild leader,” Han Yoojin warned pointedly when mid morning rolled into Sung Hyunjae’s bedroom through the windows and the S-Ranker made no move to do anything other than trace his fingers lazily over Yoojin’s chest. “Don’t you have more important things to do?” It—well, it wasn’t that Yoojin wanted Sung Hyunjae to leave or to kick him out, necessarily, though he’d probably die before saying as much out loud.
It just made him feel self-aware in a way that was distinctly unsettling when Sung Hyunjae so blatantly ignored the world in favour of his company. What kind of messed-up priorities did the man have?
Sung Hyunjae chuckled, his fingers skating low over Han Yoojin’s abdomen, and it was—nice. It was more than nice. Hyunjae’s touch was warm, firm enough that it didn’t risk bordering on ticklish. “There’s nothing more important than spending time with my item,” he said leisurely.
Or, Sung Hyunjae convinces Han Yoojin to be his lover.
