Summary
Shadow the Hedgehog, Surge the Tenrec, and Metal Sonic. A combination that makes sense but sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. All three of them have one thing in common, they were all somewhat tied down by a certain blue hedgehog. Removing him out of the picture (literally) and putting all three of them in situations wherein they need to rely on each other to survive, maybe, instead of creating disaster they bring hope.
A wasteland AU focused on Shadow, Surge, and Metal Sonic, as one of the few survivors of the desolate earth. Three freaks against the world, the weight of their troubles no longer on their shoulders and replaced by the need to survive, emotions change, characters change, feelings change. The walls they held up for so long slowly crumble as they find out that being in each other’s company isn’t so bad after all.
That is if they don’t start blaming each other from almost dying from the numerous threats that they face in their journey.

Summary

One way or another...

Summary
Here they were, on a mission together, trying to decide on who's going to sleep and who's going to stay on guard first. Akutagawa knows he can't sleep - especially not in that situation, so he offers that Atsushi sleeps first. But, to his luck, they're similar in that way with his 'partner' too, and Atsushi has the same issue - they're both insomniac as hell. Talks evolve from there, and Akutagawa is not pleased with opening up, but Atsushi just wants to know about him.
He seems to understand the mafioso well, too, even if Akutagawa tries his best to not to let him in.
They're almost reflections of each other in different colors - and that disturbs him. Scares him, even. So, so much.
He hates Atsushi's colors.
But Atsushi keeps seeing right through him, and he's afraid of what might come out of it.

Summary
Sometimes, Akutagawa is his normal, mean self, on days which Atsushi wonders why had even bothered to come over to his house at all if all he’s planning to do is throw snarky remarks and complaints.
But there’s other days when he’s less insufferable, and Atsushi finds that the frugal expanse of his house feels a little more like home.
Akutagawa, for some reason, develops a habit of making his way to his partner's apartment in the evenings. It's moments like these when Atsushi understands just how much he appreciates the company.
