Three days ago, Gideon was found shot, discovered by a nearby hiker.
Two days ago, police found the missing Reid at Gideon's cabin, showing signs of being both severely abused and neglected, and not answering to his name.
Now, the BAU team has to bring him back to life, or risk losing him forever. But as he shows signs of brainwashing, C-PTSD, and more, it becomes more of a challenge than they ever could've imagined.

Morgan grinned. He liked to flirt with Hotch to loosen him up. He was a great negotiator, had an unbelievable natural instinct for it, but sometimes he got a little uptight, a little too stiff and needed to be reminded that a lot of his job was just to flow. Gideon had only complained about Morgan's unorthodox tactics once, but after he'd seen the results, he never bothered again.
If Hotch needed to be flirted with and a little flustered to get him out of his head then so be it. As long as they established a private channel.

Derek looks up to place an order only to find himself tongue tied at the cashier. Oh god. He’s hungover, and normally being served coffee by someone at Dunkin who looks like he would rather be in hell. Not this guy. Derek looks at him, the hint of a smile on his face, his curls falling on his forehead, burnt honey eyes patiently looking at Derek, tattoos littered across his forearms.
So obviously what comes out of his mouth is, “Coffee.” Jesus fucking Christ.
The guy smiles impishly, amused. “We do have coffee,” he quips.
Derek wishes the earth would swallow him up.
