It began with a game.
"404" and "Dream" are the number one and two players in one of the biggest VR games out there. But not in that order.
It drives George mad that he's unable to claim the number one spot from Dream and over time develops a deep seated resentment for the man he's never met yet holds so much power over his life.
It's a shame that the very man George despises happens to have a very nice body.
And be his soulmate.
Or the clusterfuck of a soulmate/sci-fi fic where I built a whole ass world to include each au from the prompts while still having it make sense for DNF week. Only to have them fuck (with some feelings of course).

Sapnap was rarely one to appreciate the finer points of nature, sick of seeing so much of it on his journeys through deserted islands filled with nothing but the stuff. But this sight, deep black water glistening like sapphires and onyx was one that even being the pirate he was, he could take a moment and really see it for its beauty.
Even greater was the beauty that he knew would soon appear.
His crew was starting to get suspicious because of this pretty sight. Because he refused to stray too far and risk losing it. But it was worth it. It would always be worth it.
Sapnap cared for his crew, but he cared for the most precious discovery he’d found in all his journeys most.

A bright flash filled the sky and George shut his eyes tight, spite still coursing through his thoughts.
As he opened his eyes again and locked on to his chosen star one crystal clear thought filled his mind; 'I want to be as tall as Dream.' Maybe then, he'd understand, maybe then, the strange feelings would go away, maybe then... He glanced back to Dream and the fluttery feeling only got worse.
He crossed his arms in a huff. "There, I did it."
“Do you believe in wishes?” Dream murmured, a light flush covering his cheeks. He remained quiet, deciding to simply test the waters with his question.
George was tempted to answer bluntly, crass and uncaring with a truthful “no”, but seeing the optimism and nervous hesitation in Dream’s eyes, he haltered. But, looking to Dream and the way his sincere expression pierced his heart…
“Only... when you're here.” George muttered in a hushed tone.

After he’d eaten lunch and made sure to try and cool off he returned to his computer and saw his Teamspeak buzzing with activity. Dream, Sapnap and George, his face lit up. A conversation with him- no, with them would definitely put him in a better mood. He clicked on the room they were in to say hi, but heard a loud weird crackly wheezy noise come through instead.
A confused and short “What?” escaped his lips and he was immediately greeted by Dream’s voice, low and calm as he informed him, “We’re recording.”
Bad felt embarrassed, like he’d stumbled onto a movie set he wasn’t meant to, and like a needle piercing his heart, he felt a little left out. “Oh, bye.”
