Summary
An unknown spider-mutate helps a murder-convict escape from prison. The Avengers assemble. All with terribly inconvenient timing to recently dumped Tony Stark, who would much rather sit around in his bathrobe and feel sorry for himself. It starts as it will end. With the holy grail, the answer to answer all questions, the reason for why they do most things, and why they get out of bed in the morning. A ball. Specifically, a tennis ball with patches missing and dirt stuck in the used to be neon fluorescent yellow fuzz. It smelt of alcohol and piss, and felt sticky to the touch like someone dumped hot cola on it. In actuality, it wasn’t a ball, it was The Ball.
