“Satoru?” asks Getou mildly, like he was expecting the question. There’s a weight to his name, even as he says it with that sort of grazing lightness so characteristic of Getou.
“Yes.”
Getou tilts his head, the edge of the glass resting against his lower lip. The wine almost looks like it might stain his lips a red-purple. “Do you miss Haibara?” he returns, and Nanami has to suppress a flinch.

"Yeah, but do you know how exactly I capture curses?" Geto's voice has turned soft, Nanami taking a few steps closer just so he can look up at him and hear better. The delicate slant of Geto's eyebrows has gone lax and Nanami waits for him to elaborate. "I swallow them."

Maybe he really does need to meet Father Viktor. And shake his hand.

Summary
It wasn’t all that surprising to Viktor, how soft and warm Jayce’s face was. And when Viktor bent his head, the shape of Jayce’s lips under his was wonderful. It was perfect.
However, it was also foreign. As Jayce pushed Viktor’s chin up to his, Jayce’s hand was light on his waist, calm, timid, and delicate. It was also urgent and eager, as if Jayce had considered this before and had been wanting it too. Viktor appreciated it for a few moments. The pauses for air, the little hiccup in Jayce’s breath, and the way their lips had to struggle a little before they found the proper angles in which to slot their mouths together.
It was gentle and exploratory and soft.
Until it wasn’t.

Ever so carefully- as if his hair were made of glass instead of silk and daydreams- Viktor reaches his hand out, his fingers stretching toward Jayce’s hair. He wavers for a moment, hesitating only a second- what if Jayce pulls away? What if he is misreading this whole scenario? What if he crosses a line that cannot be uncrossed-
He is laying with his head in your lap, Viktor chides himself. If anyone crossed a line, it was him. This is merely retaliation- the consequences of his actions. Something Jayce needs exposure to anyway.
And with that, Viktor slips his fingers into Jayce’s hair.

Viktor doesn’t get the chance to finish his thought, because suddenly Jayce’s lips are on his own, and the calculated webbing that is Viktor’s mind goes up in smoke.
The kiss feels like dying. It aches, this shard of humanity that is falling through his fingers. Viktor fumbles to cling to it, to hold it close to his withered chest, to allow it to light something deep within that had started to go out-
