Come back and love me again. Ajax’ smile widened.
“I like Kabu,” he said and Scaramouche felt his eyes sting again. Ajax cupped his face with both hands. “Don't cry.”

“I like you,” he says and Scaramouche just breathes. “You're really pretty.”
“You don't really know me that well, do you?” he muses and smiles a little. “A mysterious foreign exchange student. Who’s to say I'm not dangerous? Maybe I've manipulated you.”
He smiles the entire time as he says it though, not wanting Sethos to think it might be true. It could be, but it isn't. Sethos smiles back.
“Then I wouldn't care. I’d let myself get manipulated.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah,” he breathes and he's looking down at Scaramouche’s lips.
“That's not very smart,” he whispers and watches, almost in slow motion, as Sethos reaches out a hand and brushes his fingers against Scaramouche’s cheekbone. His fingers are warm in the chilly night.
“I know,” he breathes. “I'm a little bit dumb.”
Scaramouche learns how to let go.

He pauses and Sethos inwardly curses himself for being so bold.
“You're very straightforward,” is what Hat Guy says, though his voice holds an odd timbre. “It's somewhat refreshing. It seems nobody's bold enough to speak their mind these days..." He pulls down the brim of his hat— Sethos didn't even notice it was back on his head.
"I like that about you."
Mentally, Sethos thanks the hat.

Gathering his courage, Sethos fixed his attention on Wanderer. “I like you,” he said. “And I would like to see you again.”
Wanderer raised an eyebrow. “You will.”
“Romantically,” Sethos clarified.

Kaveh drops his drink. It rolls off their dining table, shattering on the floor with a resounding crash.
“I- huh?!?”
“I asked,” Alhaitham repeats patiently, “if you are ashamed of us being seen together."

It’s probably a bit weird how readily it responds to him – almost more enthusiastic than his own – but after so many nights Sethos spent pouring his energy through the Vision into Wanderer’s body, its touch feels familiar and welcome.
