The months it takes for his injuries to heal seem to pass like molasses. Annoying, unbearably tedious molasses. At least the first few months do. Then Jake realizes his most recent psych reports must be abso-fucking-lutely stellar. Somehow.
Nothing else might possibly have gotten him out of several more months of protracted legal twists and turns and back into active work. Active undercover work, at that.
