Tav strips off his smallclothes. Then he looks at Astarion, standing gloriously nude in the steam billowing through the curtained doorway, lean and pale and beautiful. Gods, absolutely everyone is going to be staring at Astarion once they step inside. He’ll be like the full moon on a cloudless night. Is he really ready for that?

Summary
Casmir laughs softly, Astarion’s flirting washing over him and rolling off like water against silken feathers. He had realized early that it was a careful mask, Astarion’s face like the perfect porcelain of a doll and his eyes just as dead. Casmir has to wonder how no one else had noticed before—and then realizes that they likely hadn’t wanted to. Astarion was beautiful and his words were honeyed and dripping sweetness, anything with a pulse would likely weep to have his attentions turned on them.
But Casmir could see behind it every once in a while, finding something much quieter and more precious than what Astarion put on like a veneer of glitter and gold.
(Or, Casmir likes doing kind things for Astarion. Astarion doesn't know how to deal with that.)

Summary
“I knew you'd understand,” Astarion says, lowering his head to press his lips against yours in a kiss that sets your entire body alight with desire. Never in your wildest dreams had you ever thought you'd be lucky enough to kiss him, yet here he is, slotting his mouth against yours and running his tongue across the seam of your lips as if it's the most mundane thing in the world. And for you, it's anything but that. For a moment you forget to breathe as time stands still, and only once his other hand lays on your hip to pull you closer do you realize that you haven't died and that this is actually happening.

He puts his hand out to Effy, to which she happily accepts.
“Until you,” he says with a smile that only she’s ever seen.
Ever since that moment the two remained friends and even got an apartment together in the lower city shortly after the defeat of the Netherbrain. It’s been several months and Effy is happily living with her vampire bestie but Astarion’s been acting different lately…

“Gods, no. They don’t have plague. They’ll both be fine as long as we can get them to drink enough water.” Lia eyes Astarion. “You have been giving him water?”
To a vampire who hasn't had to contemplate disease in centuries, caring for a lover struck down with the flu proves to be a trial: one that Astarion's determined to pass with flying colors, if only to prove that he's better suited to taking care of Tav than anyone else.
