Papyrus is discovering a new love. Undyne is doubling her efforts to protect those she loves. Alphys is finding a place among the scientists. Mettaton is asserting himself in the television industry.
And all Asgore can do is fall behind.
What use is he if there is no longer a need for hope? All that’s left are the sins he’s committed and the mistakes he’s made. He doesn’t deserve happiness. He doesn’t deserve forgiveness. He only deserves to take full responsibility for what he’s done.
Maybe it’s about time he did that.
