“Hmmm,” Mira looks around, pretending they weren’t on HER bed, in HER room for a moment. “Every now and again, yeah.” Rumi’s laugh turned into a yelp as Zoey joined them, now in just her bra and boy shorts, jumping onto the bed with a force equal to her personality and jostling Rumi to the side.
“Heeeeey, come here often?” Zoey husked, her voice even more exaggerated than Rumi’s.
“You missed your shot,” Mira laughed. “Rumi said it first.”

Oh, this was fucking perfect. Vi had been pissed since they had spotted the shiny, silver and blue bus that had “University of Piltover” painted on the side in neat font stopped on the side of the road with steam rolling out of the engine.
Vander and Ekko had gotten off to see if Ekko could help.
Ekko had gotten back on the bus after not very long, hollering over the music, which had gotten cranked since they were just sitting there, “yeah, they’re stuck. Radiator’s shot, it’ll need replacement parts and we’re nowhere near auto stores.”
There were a few groans of sympathy, despite the fact that the whole team knew the bus was full of a bunch of stuck up Pilties.
Vander wasn’t back on the bus yet, which meant…Vi didn’t know what.
“Hey, Mylo! Can you see him? What’s happening?”
“I don’t know. Oh, hold up. He just pointed at the bus! The fuck does that mean?”
Vi had a sneaking suspicion that whatever it meant, it was likely to make her day worse.

Caitlyn is the rifle team captain for the University of Piltover, Vi's the boxing team captain for Zaun U, and they hate each other...but they're stuck together until they get back home

It lasted maybe ten minutes and consisted of her apologizing to Kaufmo for taking his funeral from him and rambling aimless apologies to Gummigoo, repeating over and over that it was all her fault, that he was her first real friend and she killed him in her attempt to reach out to someone, growling incoherently about her fury with Caine for doing this to them both, and eventually, tugging at her bangs, she stumbled off to her room. She had ended it on her own terms. She should be feeling better by now. Healing.
What was it Ragatha had told her about the adventures?

They were to prevent them from going insane.(Caine's next adventure leaves Pomni and Gangle stranded in dangerously hot tropical swamp, and there's only so far they can make it when the heat begins to take its toll and Pomni, physically strained and succumbing to the heat, begins to see things that aren't there in the waves that seem to be appearing in the air.
