Summary
In a modern world of classifications, if a Little is not legally claimed by a Caregiver by a certain age they are put in state-run adoption centers. Jaskier's been in Posada's for a little over two years, much longer than others, and is running out of hope that a Caregiver will want him at all.
Geralt, over-worked at the horse ranch he inherited from his father, is feeling unfulfilled with his stressful day-to-day, and occasionally caring for his Little adoptive brother simply isn't scratching that Caregiving itch. At the insistence of his good friend, Yennefer, he decides that maybe it's finally time to be on the lookout for a Little. She suggests he starts at Posada's Little Adoption Center.

When Loki left Earth in chains following the Battle of New York, Tony and the Avengers had thought (hoped, really) that that was the last they'd ever see of the Chaos god.
But Tony Stark wouldn't be Tony Stark if his curiosity and his attempts at doing the Right Thing™ did not end up biting him in the ass.
And now, only seven months after leaving, Loki is very pissed off and back on Earth. Only, this time, with Odin's blessing and the clear demand that Loki should marry a form of Earth Royalty to 'strengthen the alliance between Earth and Asgard' (yeah, right. Tony recognised a time out when he saw one).
Every government in the world puts forward their royals - or the closest things they have to royalty - because of course who wouldn't want the special benefits of having such a powerful alien race as their in laws?
The US does not have royalty.
But they do have Tony Stark.
(He was never doing a Right Thing™ for anyone ever again)

“You Gods love playing games, don’t you?" Odysseus had a wild spark in his eyes. “Then let’s play, Poseidon. First one to beg loses. If I win, you let me go free. If you win, I'll stay your prisoner, and you can do whatever the hell you want with me.”
Poseidon stared at Odysseus for a long moment, and in an instant something finally clicked into place.
“You’re crazy, aren’t you?” Poseidon realized.

Odysseus chooses to sacrifice himself to Zeus at the end of Thunder Bringer, but Poseidon intervenes, determined to be the one to kill Odysseus. Together they go on the run, and Poseidon decides he must execute Odysseus in front of all of Ithaca to redeem his reputation. In order to save himself from Poseidon’s wrath, Odysseus realizes he has only one way out of this: he needs to seduce the God of the Ocean.
But what happens when schemes for survival and revenge turn into actual feelings...

“A game,” Odysseus frantically began forming a plan in his head as he spoke. “First one to beg loses. If I win, you let me go. If you win…” He paused, swallowing around the words, “You can do whatever you want with me.”

Odysseus defeated Poseidon right before reaching home, but seeing him broken and bloody, the mortal cannot make himself simply leave the god. It felt too much like the battlefield at Troy. Hoping for a sliver of humanity still inside of him for when he finally greeted his family again, Odysseus decided to tend to Poseidon before leaving. He never expected a second encounter with the God of the Sea.
