Ja'far, age 22, has been under the employ of Al-Sarmen for as long as he can remember. He's earned the title of Assassin over the years, and is explicitly charged with being the guardian of the young, mischievous Oracle of Kou, a task that he could happily do without. When Judal sends Sinbad, the renowned captain of the ship Sindria and 'dungeon pirate', a summons, all of Ja'far's carefully laid plans and logistics within the Kou Empire--as well as his nearly spotless record--quickly unravel. illumi isn't exactly pleased the first long mission he receives in the midst of looking for killua and alluka, but illumi would never deny a mission. he seeks out hisoka's help to speed up the mission so he can go back to focusing on more priority tasks, but as expected, things don't shape up to be as anyone expects them to.
aka, hisoka and illumi are both forces to be reckoned with individually. together, however, they are the definition of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object.

On hindsight, maybe it wasn't the best idea to reveal your name to two lunatics who had fed you something from a blood bag at 11.54 pm in the middle of a quiet, isolated alleyway.
"Hoseok? Nice to meet you, Hoseok. I'm Kim Namjoon, and this is Kim Seokjin. Do you remember what happened to you?"
“I—”
“Seriously. Just tell him like I did you. It's like pulling off a band-aid, better fast than slow.”
A heavy sigh was Namjoon's response to Seokjin's interjection. "I think this is a bad idea, but alright. Hoseok, you nearly… well… you did die. I saved your life the only way I could. By turning you into a vampire."
On hindsight, maybe it was a really, really, really bad idea.
****One unfortunate near-death later, Hoseok finds out a few things: One, vampires are real. Two, they don't sparkle. Three, a war is brewing and he's landed in the middle of it.

Summary

Vampires can be enslaved/bound by an object they hold dear to them. These are usually worn by their master (or they just wear a few and command one of the vampires to guard the other items).
Taehyung (at age 8) makes the mistake of getting Jungkook’s ring back. Jungkook kills his whole family and spares Taehyung to return the favor.
Years pass, and they meet again when Taehyung grows up. Jungkook had already forgotten about the incident but Taehyung had not.]
