Vash is no match for Nai’s words. For the gentle tone he speaks to him with. For the touch he’s longed to feel again after five long years.
He crumbles into Nai’s arms and weeps. And Nai holds him through it all, rubbing small circles into his back and murmuring soft words just like when they were small and new to this world and had discovered something that would change their lives forever.
