Coming back from the Year That Never Was, hurting from the rejection of the Doctor and the year-long torture at the hands of the Master, he is in no way prepared to come online as a Sentinel or to find his Guide he will never be able to bond with in the man he has yearned for to come back to for the whole year of his captivity.

Very interesting AU that really changes the dynamic of the team but also really explores it in new refreshing ways. One of my favourite Iantos, I think, and some of the best character developments for the entire team out there. This is a very slow slow burn and the team's attitude is very sad, but it is still a brilliantly written piece.

A brilliant AU that takes great care to weave a time travel story. Very angst at times and poor Jack just can't catch a break, but it is well worth it. And the cameos by the Doctor are well done too. Great story that doesn't linger on unnecessary plot lines, although I wish there was more cuddling :).
