Summary
All throughout his life, Hunter has had strange experiences that he can't explain. Weird instinctual urges, a calling to be in the woods, and invisible limbs that aren't actually there. To top it off, he keeps dreaming of a beautiful creature he's never seen before, and it feels familiar. But while staying at Luz's house, he finds Gus watching a documentary that shows that exact creature--a wolf.
And suddenly, he realizes who he is.

Dess is dead, until she isn't. Kris is a coyote, until they aren't.
The Holiday-Dreemurr kids are back together again, except the easy days of their childhoods are long gone and maybe never existed. Kris is left to figure out where they stand in this new world, where their only solid ground is this: that Dess has seen them for who they really are inside, something that snarls as it creeps along the streets, killing cats and attacking children. They're Kris-the-coyote but they're Kris-that-Dess-sees and Kris-that-Dess-misses and Kris-that-Asriel-wants and thousands upon thousands of people, and they can try hard as they want but the fact of the matter is, they're the one who's tricked everyone. Because Kris is wrong down to the very core: a coyote in the body of a human who wants, more than anything else, to be a monster.
But for some reason they're still here. So that has to count for something, right?

The Ravenstag is a rare animal, which graze in herds and live within alpha/beta/omega dynamics. Despite psychologists and animal preservationists doing all they can to protect these beautiful, intelligent and rare creatures whom partly resemble humans, they're still heavily hunted for their unique pelts of feathers and fur. So when alpha-stag Hannibal is presented the ultimatum: to accept the aid of the humans or accept his fate, can he let go of the pain of the past? Or struggle along on his own against all odds?

Winters are tough. The snow falls and everything feels cold and distant- and sickness is all the more common. Mistlekit misses her brother, and runs off in the direction the hawk took him. Snowkit lives. Swiftpaw is inspired.
So. If you’re in the warriors fandom, you can probably understand why I’m rewriting this, rather than just finishing the version I started before. Everything that was canon in that story doesn’t necessarily stay the same for this one, keep in mind, and I’m definitely doing tons of research on the topics I’m addressing, regardless of if I personally experience them or not!
