Ed’s seen plenty of folks run a marathon.
He’s also seen plenty of folks walk a marathon.
But he’s never seen anyone race walk a marathon. Until now.
Ed notices the cadence before anything else. It’s all hips. Hips swiveling and dipping like those of a supermodel, if that model were crossing a football field at the same pace the others made it down the catwalk. Arms pumping double time but no bounce in the shoulders—eerily smooth from the chest up. And while on the topic of chest…this might be the broadest chest Ed’s ever seen on an endurance athlete. A luminous pink shirt hugs his biceps, the swell of his tits, the small peaks of his—Jesus. With the rain and the chill, someone’s gonna get an eye poked out.
Ed hopes it’s him.
He doesn’t need both of his eyes.

Summary
Edward Teach has lived as a bandit for years after banishment from his Nora homeland. He lived up to his title as Blackbeard, a master tactician when it comes to the demise of Machines, and incredibly talented in thievery and the occasional good maim. Away from expectant eyes, he preferred to spend his time amongst ruins of the Old World scattered throughout the land. The world was much different a thousand years ago before the fall of their era, and Ed loved any history he could gather from recorded data, voice memos, and holograms.
A recorded holo of a curious man from hundreds of years ago caught Ed's attention. The man was always full of hope and wonder, entrancing Ed with his love for life and the world they lived in.
Ed had made it his duty to uncover more about the Strange man's life. Catching feelings for the holo however, was strangely a hard thing not to do.

Summary
It's 1925, and Stede Bonnet has fled his restrictive life of privilege in Wellington to become a painter in Paris. Things do not go as planned.
Meanwhile, Ed "Blackbeard" Teach is an established sculptor haunted by the war, broke, and bored of it all, until he meets Stede.
They become friends, and eventually something more, when Ed agrees to model for Stede, until life pulls them apart.
When they reunite, they’re older, more world-weary... and irresistibly drawn to each other more than ever.

His apartment was one of the reasons why Stede wished he could sometimes be abducted by the odd extraterrestrial. In general, it was a very nice apartment. Lounge, kitchen, bedroom, ensuite; not too spacious but not cramped, even with his substantial collection of knick-knacks and trinkets, and full use of the utility room in the basement.
The only problem was that Stede did not always have full use of the apartment itself.

Stede Bonnet has been renting out his apartment to his superiors at work so they can cheat on their wives. In the hopes that facilitating their affairs will make them facilitate his advancement in the company. Maybe once he's more than a lowly spreadsheet wrangler he'll gather up the courage to ask out the beautiful security guard at the front desk. Maybe his promotion is what the big boss is calling him up to his office about. Or maybe Stede's life is about to change in an entirely different way.

Bored of running one of the most successful tour guiding and travel publishing companies in the world, Ed decides to go check out a rival company's tour as he considers his own future. He doesn't realize that the company's owner, the charming Gentleman Tour Guide himself, will be running this tour of Portugal personally.
Ed is immediately taken with Stede, but lying doesn't make for a good start to a relationship. Besides, Ed has long since stopped trying to find a soulmate.

Izzy supposed that he should be pleased that a queer-friendly show had garnered so much attention, and he was. Sort of. Mostly, though, he was bitter. His beloved Republic of Pirates was queer-friendly too, and its leads had sizzling chemistry, due to having been friends in real life for decades. It deserved every bit of the accolades that Heated Rivalry was receiving. Instead, it had been cancelled when it still needed one more season to finish telling its epic story.
“A story that didn’t have to resort to shoving chiseled abs and rock-hard pecs and explicit sex scenes in the viewers’ faces,” he fumed silently. “A story told the old-fashioned way, with brilliant performances and clever, witty dialogue. The 'Heated Rivalry' creators wouldn’t recognize those things if they tripped over them.”

Izzy is certain that the new "gay Canadian hockey show" isn't worth his time.

“You of all people should know they are,” Izzy harrumphs. “C’mon.”
They stash their gear on the truck, save for small daypacks and binoculars, and camera bags for Ivan and Fang. Ed feels eyes on him again and hears hushed voices coming from the cab of the truck, but elects to ignore them, walking away. He’s got birds to see.
