When Deuce Spade met Ace Trappola in their second year, his first thought was that the other was a little weird and quiet, but overall not a bad dude. That is, until he found a ton of photos that the other boy had of him and his friends from their first year, which was super weird and creepy. Trying to confront him about it only led to a fight that went nowhere, so Deuce and the others in their group of friends agreed to get to the bottom of this over winter break. What they found, however, changed how they saw Ace forever.

It was a normal reaction to a life-threatening situation. Emotional irregulation was well recorded in times like these. Riddle remembered his own gasping sobs and apologies. His mother would never approve of such a display, but nothing in Riddle could regret it.
And yet, lying in the bed of his dorm room, weeks after the incident in question, Riddle could not stop thinking about it. The hour only grew later, his schedule well disrupted, and yet his mind refused to relent.
